This is a powerful haiku. I have been reading about Cape Town and the water shortage. We had a terrible drought some years ago so I have an inkling of what it must be like. I hope it rains and that the authorities find equitable ways to distribute water.
Hope so too! I’m lucky where I am, there’s been plenty rain here. Hope the politicians get their stuff together to make it work. Perhaps they should organise a rain-dance – something a sangoma (shaman) is supposed to be able to do to make it rain. 🙂
Rain dancing sounds great. We had a big drought over here a few years ago. We had severe water restrictions and the government built a facility to convert sea water to fresh water. They built it on an environmentally sensitive site and there were a lot of protests. Undeterred the govt went ahead and built altho it costs millions. By the time they’d finished the entire state was awash with floods. The facility was never used. It’s still there so I guess if we get another drought we’ll be ok!
and the Skylark’s call has been answered…
Thank the Heavens above! So far so good! 🙂

At times I feel one is shouting into a void though!

We are all holding our breath.
My nerves are just about to give in! Thanks for clocking in!
Life seems to have become so busy. I do make time to read, although I don’t often comment. Keep up the beautiful art! 🙂
Thank you for the encouragement! Wish the same for you.
A very powerful wake up call for those willing to hear 🐦
