Solstice haibun
21June 20, 2022 by petrujviljoen
It was the morning after A Night, having arrived late, having travelled too many square miles in the day on this spinning earth, spinning on its axis, spinning around the centred sun, the moon of this earth spinning around itself, around the earth, this tiny universe within a universe spinning through infinite space, gravity holding it, us together.
I wanted to know who God is: get to know yourself they say. Be amazed they say and bewildered.
labouring, heads low
we just don’t know our
wildness

Love your ending message Petru. Wishing you a good week.
Thanks Grace!
…and spinning heads. Nice one, Petru.
Thanks Nan.
Yes. We just don’t know our wildness.
We could change the world if we did.
Excellent. Truly.
Thank you!!
All that slow spinning, it messes us up. We know nothing about anything.
Laughing. It’s true, we don’t.
But we don’t know that we know nothing…
Well said. That’s perhaps the worst of it!
Beautiful…
Thanks!
There’s a lot we don’t know…(K)
True!
Pray does keep us in check, doesn’t.
Nice one.
Happy you dropped by to read mine Petru
Much❤love
