The Cat and I (II)

Stardust mingled with the mess of our lives
I exclude everyone momentarily; it’s
the cat and I, her exactly next to, on top
of me and I holding her, my arm around her,
palm to the bed, her stretched out over my hand,
owning
our love
I am smiling. Thank you.
So so sweet.
We are!
“Stardust mingled with the mess of our lives” – great.
Thanks!
I’ve just been reading a graphic book where the writer’s primary relationship is with his cat. She saves him on many occasions. (K)
I can report something similar!
I’d love to have a cat so affectionate 🙂
She’s the love of my life.
Then she is sensitive enough to reciprocate. Cats know.
Yes, of course. There are days she thinks I ought not to paint/write/garden to rather be with her. But there are days she understands every word I say, so if I explain nicely she goes off to do cat things.
Trixie likes so much contact and no more. She will sit on husband’s keyboard for hours so he has to do some non-computer work instead, but she’s just as likely to spend all day in a new box or the dirty laundry basket.
Smiles. Charle is very different. Very clingy but highly psychic. She knows what I think!
Some cats have that gift, I think. But they’re all different. There’s independence of affections too.
