Hey there, well done on your inclusion. I particularly like the one about the tree and the monkey. I mean, it’s sort-of orchestral. Does the monkey ‘animate’ the tree (that’s almost a pun) or is the tree, baton-like, animating the monkey?
Laugh. Sounds like a koan.
Koan – now there’s a word I haven’t heard in a long time. There’s a popular saying I haven’t heard in a while over here which must also be a koan: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Laugh! I read an answer to that a while ago but forget what it was or where I read it! The question continues …
Petru! Congratulations!@!! Cresting the mountain……for some reason, this brought me to tears. The haiku is lovely, and the sentiment is deep. I agree with Claudia….a sense of promise, and to me….hope. That has been in short supply lately here. Thank you, Petru.
Nice. Thanks Jane.
Very well done!
Beautiful images (both) and congratulations! (K)
Congratulations. And I love this. A sense of possibilities.
Wonderful. I don’t belong to any poetic societies.
Though many years ago I did get an honorable mention for a rather lengthy haiku series. 🙂
It’s all it is Jules, an honourable mention. It’s just the Dialogue pages where anyone can take part without actually being one of the luminaries! It’s great, but not that great either! Give it a try, the link is on the post.
I’m not a good enough of rule follower for haiku societies. I’ve tried. Thanks though. 🙂
The 575 was an almost once-off prompt or challenge Jules. Next week’s a monoku. but I know you prefer doing your own thing! Keep on!!
Beautiful. That’s fantastic! Congratulations.
Reblogged this on Frank J. Tassone and commented:
#Haiku Happenings #4: Petru J Viljoen’s haiku appears in THF’s Haiku Dialogue!
Hi there! Thanks!
My pleasure, Petru! 🙂
