Like the dawn and dusk colors – so fleeting.
Nice capture. 🙂
Thanks!
Yes, they are like ‘plumes’ – pens in French – writing their lovely lives – just in time – as their sun begins to set.
The sight has been a joy for many years. It only happens at certain times, some are so fleeting it is hardly noticeable.
I am seeing you and Charlie side by side, just staring out.
We love our walks dearly.
All our books since moving here were in boxes in the attic, largely and no room anywhere for most of them. So we built an extra room last summer – an insulated log cabin in the garden. Our girl cat Keeks likes to be with us and follows us about. So I made a cosy bed for her inside a square wicker basket. When I go down to the cabin, I put the basket down on the floor at the back door and she hops into it and is carried in style to the cabin. In this way we keep each other company as we ‘work’.
This one here has to be carried so we can get beyond the houses. Only round the bend, behind the trees do I put her down at which point, her dignity having been compromised I am accosted with a snarl – how dare you! – but once we’re on our way there’s mew, mew, look at this, wait for me, where are we going, I’m not really following you. I’ve seen her with her nose in the air, smelling things I’ve no idea of, the look in her eyes showing she’s somewhere I can’t follow. Then I let her be and wait until she’s done.
Work-wise at home it’s the same as with your Keeks. She’s, right now, on a blanket on a corner of the table where I work and in the studio she also has a spot where she sleeps, or preen, while I’m busy. That is, once she’s made peace with the fact I’m busy with other things besides paying attention to her! They’re fantastic! An intelligence I’m often in awe of.
Sublime, so beautiful!
Thank you!
Inspiring. Love the photo too. The child in me wants to run right through it.
Charlie and I sat in it. I specifically went at that time to get a photo – and to contemplate and smile.
I hope you like. 🙂
