Sense of Place – Smell
13August 29, 2018 by petrujviljoen
Thrilled The Haiku Foundation published my haiku:
groundswell on the
mountain
– petrichor
Following are the others I submitted:
spring greening
mountain slopes
scent of life
rounding the mountain
leaving the trodden hikers’ trail
– wafts of weeping sage
Breaths of early mountain;
earthed heaven
accommodating spirit
nostrils flare with the
scent of space
beyond the mountain
rucksack heavy at
the time of the full sun
sweating on the mountain
mountain braced –
mellow tinge
of the wild fig
“earthed heaven”–what a great image.
congrats! (K)
Thanks Kerfe. I enjoyed working on them.
All beautiful
Thank you!!
Congratulation. Beautiful Haiku. 🙂
Thanks Susan!
Congratulations. And I like them all but especially the nostrils one.
Great minds do think alike! I like that one best too!
Congratulations. It’s lovely–and so is the scent of petrichor!
Thank you!! I thought I’d be only ‘clever’ one astounding people with the word (petrichor) but there were about three who had the same idea!
🙂
Reblogged this on Frank J. Tassone and commented:
