Sat apart in the church at my father’s funeral. The dominee (priest/pastor) on and on about death and its calling, calling all of us all of the time. At every moment! Be prepared! One felt beaten to the ground! But a voice, my father’s, interrupted – ag (oh) it’s a friendly (fellow). Almost shocked into comfort for being apart. I nearly laughed! Fellow trudgers of (mud is the stuff butterflies feed off too you know), take comfort, we’ll all of us get (there). Somehow. At some point (of light) She’s Light.

  1. Death is maybe what you make it—a release for some, an enemy for others. I hope I’m not in a position to take sides for a long time yet. I’m glad your father didn’t endorse all the buffoonery.
