without seeing the end of time.”
– Jim Harrison

Sat apart in the church at my father’s funeral. The dominee (priest/pastor) on and on about death and its calling, calling all of us all of the time. At every moment! Be prepared! One felt beaten to the ground! But a voice, my father’s, interrupted – ag (oh) it’s a friendly (fellow). Almost shocked into comfort for being apart. I nearly laughed! Fellow trudgers of (mud is the stuff butterflies feed off too you know), take comfort, we’ll all of us get (there). Somehow. At some point (of light) She’s Light.
