Micro Poetry
27November 8, 2017 by petrujviljoen
that sound
awareness – wind
in the bowl of the waterfall
bottom
of the wine jar
bruised consciousness
mountain – drawing
close a cloak of mist
– lucky!
a butterfly
dancing in my path
I wait for the end
…..
Taking up Thotpurge’s invitation to join in micro-poetry. I couldn’t do 13 – my lucky number – today. Hope there is more to come.
I like how this is a Snapchat of something of your life thank you for sharing and check out my poetry and share 🙂 https://wp.me/p9t3QW-4o
I have been ‘in’ each verse.
The pleasant memories bring warmth on this chilly morning.
Woke to 28 F – I have not been out yet. But I will brave the cold for a short time even if just to walk around the block.
Did you mean 28- F or was that just a dash? Below zero in celsius anyway – If it was just a dash – looked it up! If it was me going on that walk I’d make it a dash, I mean run of it! Thanks for liking the series of haiku. I want to try my hand at an upside down haibun next.
Phat fingered dash… Just 28 F or or -2.22 C
It seldom gets that cold in the part of South Africa I live that is. If it’s 8 degrees Celcius we think we have a hard time of it.
I have family in Florida… when it’s below 70 F they get cold. 😉
Can’t imagine it!
Oh I wasn’t sure that an upside down haibun was a real thing. Just that I put the haiku first. As you have read elsewhere haiku can go in between and end up being more haiku than prose. 🙂
Yes indeed. I’m going to give it a go.
These are all so beautiful!
Thank you! I’m editing a few and reposting in a few minutes.
That last one is so sad. A good write.
I actually didn’t mean it that way. I’m editing the set but for the popular one!
Ash# ☺
Lol,…I meant aah!
🙂 The edited version goes like this:
butterfly
dancing in my path
– observance
There you go. Nice.☺☺☺
Luv the dance of the butterfly best of the lot
Much💖love
Thanks!
Love the opening lines! That sound / awareness / wind
“bottom
of the wine jar
bruised consciousness”…
A great one! 🙂
Everyone’s favourite!
“bottom
of the wine jar
bruised consciousness”…O My! Fantastic!
Thanks!
These are so good Petru.. the second one I especially like and the fourth that starts with reminding me of chaos theory leading to a better end. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks! I love this form of poetry. Thank heavens for Carpe Diem – Kristjaan.
That is so true.. my initial haiku- tanka learning all came from that site. I sent him an email telling him I was going to do this!
