Darkened Noon

eighty year old tree –

howling light , a vicious sky

darkened noon shatters

Written in response to Jilly’s 28 days of unreason – I’m catching the wave of inspiration mid storm not having a clue who Jim Morrison – I mean Jim Harrison is. I hope to find out soon. The photo on Charley’s post inspired the haiku. I lived through a semi-hurricane some years ago and it looked just like that.

I am so glad you found inspiration in this quote. I, too, have lived through a hurricane and many tropical storms; you have captured it perfectly! Your writing is so crisp and elegant.

“Darkened noon shatters” is absolutely brilliant! A storm, to be sure.
