The road

At a junction – no signpost. No rainbow.
Enjoy the journey they say: the uncertainty, the unknown, alone …

Makes me think of “The Road Not Taken.”
I’ve embarked on a road that’s pushing my boundaries. Enrolled for an online course in creative writing. It’s difficult but very rewarding! If you have internet access try out https://novoed.com/how-writers-write-fiction-2016. The current course is about to end but they present it each year it seems.
It’s difficult for me to “enjoy” the uncertainty of some of those paths and then other times I’ve thrown caution to the wind and made choices that turned out just fine! I wish you well on your journey, Petru.
Thanks Gayle. Although I may not physically have to go anywhere, how one assesses specific situations isn’t always clear. 🙂
Love the “no signpost. No rainbow”. Sometimes in life we must make those choices without any clear signs.
Yes, indeed. Sitting by the roadside isn’t going to help and that’s for sure.
Enjoy the journey they say:
the uncertainty, the unknown, alone
It is fun to make discoveries at times!

I once was at such a junction – in real time – and my nose told me to go one way so I chose the other and it worked wonderfully!
Yes, reminds me of Frost, also. Short and effective write.
I somehow start to think about Robert Frost.. the road less taken… maybe it’s the one without a signpost.
Looked up the poem: Indeed, the one less travelled – one tries to leave the mainstream but it isn’t always possible.
Beautiful image-bird at a crossroad..
I can relate to this for I am in a similar space. The raven is sometimes seen as a symbol of magic transformation. Your image really has that feel.
It’s not easy. I think what people call transformation can sometimes be seen as growth that has been happening over a period of time. The sort one notices when it is fully grown and comes as a surprise.
Reminds me of a highlife song about a “Crossroad bird”. The song is called “Anouman Sandrofia”. You can listen to it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EVi1mwhcQc I remember the record cover contained an explanation of the text. I think the bird simbolizes a choice and you have to catch the bird, but I cannot recall any details. The youtube video shows the backside of the record with the explanations, maybe it is possible to read it if you increase the size on screen.
I’ll see if my slow internet connection will load it. Different cultures have different meanings as to the symbolism of the bird. That it features as a symbol in many cultures is auspicious.
We miss your posts.
I am mooving and don’t have much time at the moment. I hope I will have more time next year.
Hope the upheaval has results.
I have emptied two rooms in the old appartment today. The painter will come on tuesday. We are making progress here.
It’s disruptive. Wish you patience with the process!
