Phantom opera – not yet,

yet, mystery enough once

you’ve read, or couldn’t,

written script obscure, unknown

from Europe it is

not, there yet found

now stabled at Yale

they should not fail

to grasp the rhythmic

key – to who has wit

the triumphant grin

Dverse Poets hosts the Quadrille prompt every 2nd Monday I think it is. My first attempt.

A bit of background: I’ve been immersed in the mystery of the Voynich Manuscript the last few days while researching artist books. I’ve been aware of this for some time and was newly intrigued.

A fascinating glimpse of something both mysterious & perplexing; possibly Lumarian or extraterrestrial in origin; cool.
