Journey of a Photograph framed (1100x458)

This work is now being exhibited at the Mbombela Art Gallery in Mbombela (Nelspruit), South Africa, during the whole of next week. I crafted the frame myself. The reflection from the open door onto the glass seems serendipitous, as if the work came gliding in from outside, or as if, indeed, it was about to glide outside into the unknown. I trust it will be well received.

Mbombela in Si Swati means ‘a lot of people in a small place’. I love the name changes of cities, streets, provinces since our first democratic election in 1994.

Beautiful piece of work. And I like your reflection on the reflection. 🙂

I make art, I read a lot and I'm now trying to write as well. Otherwise I belong to a cat by the name of Charlie that drives me nuts sometimes and other times makes me melt with love for her.
