I am not a scientist, but are there not already certain plants that need each other? The beard like hanging moss that only grows on certain trees. In an ear of corn there are rows of seeds (matched or not) that companionably reside together to make up one plant. Or the strawberry – each black fleck a single seed. If we can believe that plants respond to the human voice, could they also possibly respond to each other? I like the idea of the hyacinth blooms sharing their sent as if they were expelling some kind of conversation. They are just poking up through the ground now. A few more weeks I think before they bloom.

Yesterday I saw my first red wing black bird for this spring season. Another blue grey day here. Waiting for the mist to rise. A slow spring would be nice. 🙂

    • I wasn’t thinking. Of course there are a great very many companion plants. Like basil and tomatoes and on and on. It’s just turning autumn here and the swifts and the blackbirds are practicing for their long flights.
