Carpe Diem – haiku

Carpe Diem Special #74, Alexey Andreyev’s fifth ”morning awakening”- haiku challenge

The one written by Alexey Andreyev:

morning awakening:
among window curtains’ flowers
a blade of gray sky

My take on the idea:

curtains left undrawn

revealed a sleepless night

relieved, first light

  1. Being sleepless and jet lagged in California right now… What a sentiment

  2. Bryan Ens says:

I read this just after a night where I tossed and turned for a good portion of it…so I can sure understand this one!

  3. I love this haiku inspired on the one by Alexey. Very nice to see you here frequently.

Artist Statement or rationale or why do I do what I do
