Artist Book Collaboration – Stephanie Turnbull

Stephanie Turnbull, a printer and artist book maker sent me her artist book on Ned Kelly in return for the book I made about Saartjie Baartman and Marilyn Monroe. The theme of the collaboration was ‘Someone’; either a autobiography, biography or fictional character, initiated and hosted by Cheryl Penn. Again, I was informed (had no idea who Ned Kelly was), enthralled by the artist’s tackling of her subject and the professional finish of the work. The style of writing reflects the ambiguity of the status of the subject. He was either a dreadful rogue or a hero of the poor.

I make art, I read a lot and I'm now trying to write as well. Otherwise I belong to a cat by the name of Charlie that drives me nuts sometimes and other times makes me melt with love for her.
