Craft makes ARt

I crafted this lampshade for my own use. I meant to make a very neat, basket weave design. Things didn’t work out that way. I took the twigs from the willow tree that grows in front of my house and figured out how to do it as I went along.

The resulting shadows cast on the wall at night when it is switched on is sheer, unexpected fine art. Sometimes I think the unintentional is the best art.

I make art, I read a lot and I'm now trying to write as well. Otherwise I belong to a cat by the name of Charlie that drives me nuts sometimes and other times makes me melt with love for her.
