The Actress – Friday Fictioneers

Friday Fictioneers is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-fields. This is wonderful practice in writing and getting feedback for one’s efforts. The photograph is courtesy Jennifer Pendergrast who holds copyright.
”Something eccentric, spiritual! A place where I can evolve!” Her colleague nearly choked on her wine. ”There has to be light!” shrilled the estate agent, chin in the air, her hand on her forehead.
They traversed the city, suffering the affectations of their conceited customer. ”I’m an actress”. They rolled their eyes. ”I’m very sensitive”. They endured.
At last, smugly, they presented the apartment with the spiral staircase. Surely, this time…?
The agent covered her mouth with one hand, slamming on the table with the other. ”Then she married a travelling salesman. And moved to the suburbs!” the shriek audible.
Haha, I love how you capture her frustration. Makes me wonder what estate agents say about me!!
If the story made you wonder it must’ve been written well. Thanks for reading!
Dear Petru,
Nothing worse than having to cater to a drama queen. Oh shame!
Shalom,
Rochelle
Lol..how very frustrating.
Love can be an amazing thing…
Terrifyingly revealing if you ask me.
I could taste their annoyance as they pampered the “star”
Thanks for reading and commenting.
A funny piece I enjoyed the twist at the end.
Thank you!
Great story, I enjoyed this.
I can just imagine this conceited, egotistical woman, well done
Dee
This one made me laugh, Hilarious!
Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to read it and commenting.
Life as drama, I see. She would be the client from hell, that’s for sure. I like this, “They traversed the city, suffering the affectations of their conceited customer. ” Lots of strong descriptive words.
Enjoy the weekend,
janet
