Art by an iPad by a person

A friend and colleague, Rodger Hart, made these images on an iPad. I’m not familiar with this technology but assert my right to argue that the tactility of the work on paper is lost through this medium. Actual hands-on engagement with the working surface is, for me, imperative in the art making process.

The rhino is mercilessly hunted for its horn by Asian people because it is believed to have aphrodisiac qualities. If one considers that the horn of a rhino is very much like our nails, I would put forward that these types would rather pull their own nails than hunt the rhino. It is close to extinction for this reason. For a living dinosaur that is a very sad state of affairs indeed.
